bit of a cough

I have a bit of a cough, it is winter and as of yet I haven't yet had a bad cold. I have had a few sniffles and a slightly poorly weekend but that all, this is all good :)
Have been christmas shopping got some presents, not all of them but getting there
Work is busy busy, should slow down a bit over santa season, i hope!
Laine is busy doing essays, she did an exam the other day 100 flipping % ha ha
I have just registered to do the first module of the social care degree with the open university, i am quite looking forward to it :)
Leah Plip has a birthday soon, she's 10 years old wow!!!!!!!!
The cats have all been in the house lately, i think it may be too cold to go out, they all have a chair or a stool or a bean bag to sit on, sometimes they argue and fight but then it settles.
The rabbits are running around all over the place, they have learnt how to get onto their cage and at their food they are somewhat rascalish at the moment but lovely at the same time.
Looking forward to santa time, nice long break, yay

Back to work for a couple of days all good, training today and there was cooked dinner with pudding, I was allowed to have banana with me custard :)
Got Megs birthday party this weekend, 5 years old bless her!

Laine went through our pets tonight and diagnoses Archie, Bessie, Charlie and Moses with personality disorders, group therapy here we come!

4 days off

I have 4 days off in a row and quite on purpose have very little to do in them!

I shall call this time "recharge" and it shall be lovely! :)

the reason i work is so that some days i can do this.....

don't think i can make a career out of it yet :)

rabbit revision

i have been reading about rabbits again, I go through phases of feeling the need to increase my knowledge of the little creatures so to improve their lives if possible. I have begun reading recently mainly due to the fact that Archie has been peeing all over the place quite a lot. I think i have figured this is probably due to him not long having been neutered and should stop within a few weeks, lets hope so.
Archie is lovely, Bessie is back to her old self after a bit of wobbliness, ear is back up and she eats enough hay for 8 rabbits at least
I have purchased a new run for then to extend the other one so when it isn't raining (ha ha ha ha ha) they have plenty of space to run about and we are thinking of getting them an outside house so they can stay out is it's nice when we are at work

Speaking of work, it's going well, never a dull moment in this job, I find chasing my on tail amuzing most fo the time :) Schools break up soon and when they do my diary calms down loads.

Me good self and the Laine went to Tarsus last night was lovely, really proper, I'm not a fan of eating out but will be back for the buffet evening again soon!

it's the weekend

It's been another busy week, the new job is gonna keep me occupied I think :)
It's been good this week, really feel into it all now, not so much new that I don't know what I'm doing.
We have a peaceful weekend planned, Laine has 2 more weeks to placement so she's making sure her resources are well and truely topped up.
I took the cats to the vets last weekend, Moses is scabby and Charlie needs "not to put any more weight on" :)
Me, Laine and Leah all went on a bike ride to Lorraine and Petes house and they weren't in so we moved some gnomes around and went home to play on the trampoline, all good fun :)

The new job is going well, I have a desk a car park passa phone and a puter. I've really enjoed it so far which is nice!

The turf arrived Friday evening, by the time I made it home it was all in the back garden, Ian, bless him has spent close to 2 hours carrying it round for me, the kind man left a few extra rolls, funny kind for me, cruel for Ian.
Turf was all layed by 9.30am Sat

Then Sat Ian and I knocked a hole in his wall for a lintel, then realised the bricks were looking far too shakey and ran a builder. Builder said we had done it right and that there was hardly anything to do. Builder doing it though tomorrow night, I must admit holes in load bearing walls are a bit scary :)

Laine is busy doing her essay, I'm sure she'll catch up on some sleep at some point.

oooo how exciting.
Job is well and truely finished now, did my last chatty thing today and now thats it no more drug and alcohol young people stuff for a bit :)

New job starts Monday, got me clothes ready, been shopping I have, the joy of being the new girl again :)

Had a nightmare with concrete collection, the chap never came, need to sort someone else out now. A mini nightmare with topsoil, it can late so poor old ian got roped into moving it all with me. Looks good now thou

recovering

I am indeedy recovering from the day of the concret. I began digging up some of the soil to make it level and you'll never guess what, go on try and guess...........................................................
there is a big pile of red bricks hidden under a third of the soil, so now i'm digging them up :)
it will be worth it in the end, he he

I handed in my notice today so 5 more weeks at work and then a new work, very exciting, bit of a mix of emotions, it's all very weird.
What an exciting year it's going to be :)

We took leah to pizza hut yesterday, she's at that age now that if you hug her, kiss her and stroke her face in front of people she goes a little bit red, it's fab

To unravel that, at 7.10 I got offered a corker of a job :)

I work in the drugs field and I find it faciniating so how happy was I tonight when laine went to sleep on the sofa and I found that horizon were showing a programme on the Lancet paper on rating harm of drugs. Then even better there was a live web broadcast of a debate on the programme,

training all day and hotdog sausages

just got a strange text from laine at work who is currently guarding a door , i am not sure that the door is at risk of doing but i bet she's guarding it well :)

i ran training today with my collegue Julie was really fab group an went so quickly

i had hot dog sausages with sweet pepper and tommy sauce an pitta bread for tea

i love my mitre saw bit on the circular saw it makes the skirting board so much easier, if only my walls didn't have bends in them :0

Spent 5 hours painting woodwork, gave myself a blister, not lovely!!!!

one weekend, 3 days off , 2 days at work and do I have a cold?

Feeling a bit coldy, you know the very beginning of a cold htat your not sure if you'll fight it off or if you'll be a full blown snotville tomorrow. I'm hoping to fight it off while having a nice old sleep tonight, where did we get to with the hall? It's ready for the woodwork to be snaded down and painted and then for the wall to be done, how fab is that :)!?
Got to do a bit of work on the stair but not too much, then floor then done. Feel like I'm going to have a gap in my life when it's done, will have to get a new hobbie!
Biked to work today, first time in a week cos of my annual leave but glad I did.
We have our advent calenders, role on Dec 1st and my first choccy

t'is the morning to buy a mini christmas tree

I have mini decorations (a nativity) and mini tinsel and soon I shall have a mini real christmas tree. I like how Laine just lets me get on with some things without uttering a word (even though it's only mid November), I may give the tree a name, like Stuart or Seth or maybe Betty but I haven't decided yet.
I had meetings almost back to back yesterday, t'was busy but sometimes busy does me good.
I need a radiator, still not bought one they didn't have the one I wanted last weekend.
I have 3 days left at work then 3 days off next week, very well timed and I am very looking forward to them.

It is November today :)
I had busy old day yesterday and work was hectic today, ran some training, you would not believe it, the only person that would is Julie she went through it with me :)
I plan to bike to tomorrow, that will be my twice this week, meetings got in the way of iking more.
Cinema tomorrow and meal out, nice
