house and the like

errm bit of a delay, sorry.

The house is about finished and has been for weeks, we are just getting through the snagging list and Elaine and I have some painting to do :)

We are chuffed with it and this summer so far it has been perfect for sitting and enjoying the garden.

Elaine has a new car, one that goes a proper speed, only thing is we need to sell Eric, which thanks to a few unhelpful people is taking some time!

Today I went kite flying which is always a good, thing, earphones in, sun out but enough cloud so you can look into the sky and a good strong wind. Made me feel like I was in the middle of no where even though I was in the middle of Earlsdon!

Oh and me veg garden looks rather healthy.

and we nipped down to the Godiva festival to catch a bit of the 80's night, thanks Poole's!

Thursday
Biked to asda and ate a carrot on my way home.
Went to see Lorraine :)
Went for Coffee (and a little snack) at Starbucks with Elaine

Friday
Went to Ryton Pools and got a bit lost on a bike ride, made it home safe though
Flew kite a bit (not much wind)
Invited Leah Poole over to stay (and stay she did til Sat evening)
Watched Elaine and Leah carve a pumpkim

Saturday
Met with the architech (oooo)
Went to the Dr Who exibition with Leah and Miss Elaine Nicholles
Went to tesco's for lunch (got wii fit plus - just need a wii now)
Met Richie and saw Ellie and Megs

Sunday
Went church
Had very pleasant lunch in town with Laine, very nice indeed!
Watched 3 episodes of Bones
Made roast chicken from like a whole raw chicken

Nice few days off :)

bit of a cough

I have a bit of a cough, it is winter and as of yet I haven't yet had a bad cold. I have had a few sniffles and a slightly poorly weekend but that all, this is all good :)
Have been christmas shopping got some presents, not all of them but getting there
Work is busy busy, should slow down a bit over santa season, i hope!
Laine is busy doing essays, she did an exam the other day 100 flipping % ha ha
I have just registered to do the first module of the social care degree with the open university, i am quite looking forward to it :)
Leah Plip has a birthday soon, she's 10 years old wow!!!!!!!!
The cats have all been in the house lately, i think it may be too cold to go out, they all have a chair or a stool or a bean bag to sit on, sometimes they argue and fight but then it settles.
The rabbits are running around all over the place, they have learnt how to get onto their cage and at their food they are somewhat rascalish at the moment but lovely at the same time.
Looking forward to santa time, nice long break, yay

we rode bike and ate and slept, think that covers it :)

tent

Last night we picked Leah up from brownies. I began to have a thought about tenting.
We got home and the thought kept going round in my head and then it just jumped out my mouth, "leah you wanna sleep in the garden in the tent tonight?" Leah said yes, so that was it we put t'tent up, got the air bed, got it all comfy, watched Dr Who and then slept in the tent.
It was lvoely, only small issues were cats either trying to get in or getting in and then having to be thrown out and it rained loads was nice to hear it on the canvas but was a bit loud at times.

Thats it now, in nice weather on our plip weekends I think we may be camping :)

it's the weekend

It's been another busy week, the new job is gonna keep me occupied I think :)
It's been good this week, really feel into it all now, not so much new that I don't know what I'm doing.
We have a peaceful weekend planned, Laine has 2 more weeks to placement so she's making sure her resources are well and truely topped up.
I took the cats to the vets last weekend, Moses is scabby and Charlie needs "not to put any more weight on" :)
Me, Laine and Leah all went on a bike ride to Lorraine and Petes house and they weren't in so we moved some gnomes around and went home to play on the trampoline, all good fun :)

The new job is going well, I have a desk a car park passa phone and a puter. I've really enjoed it so far which is nice!

The turf arrived Friday evening, by the time I made it home it was all in the back garden, Ian, bless him has spent close to 2 hours carrying it round for me, the kind man left a few extra rolls, funny kind for me, cruel for Ian.
Turf was all layed by 9.30am Sat

Then Sat Ian and I knocked a hole in his wall for a lintel, then realised the bricks were looking far too shakey and ran a builder. Builder said we had done it right and that there was hardly anything to do. Builder doing it though tomorrow night, I must admit holes in load bearing walls are a bit scary :)

Laine is busy doing her essay, I'm sure she'll catch up on some sleep at some point.

We took leah to pizza hut yesterday, she's at that age now that if you hug her, kiss her and stroke her face in front of people she goes a little bit red, it's fab

A week since I posted

Yesterday i ripped a bit of my nail off, no idea how, was there one minute gone the next, if there hadn't have been blood I wounld't have noticed. this morning however, ouch mc nouch!

I built the rabbit a new superhome yesterday, we've had to extend ready for Flo, Flo is hopefully going to be rabbit number 2. On 23rd Feb me, Laine and Leah are going to Hatton Park with Oscar so he can be introduced to some lady rabbits, once they pick each other they will then spend a few days together geting to know each other, we then go back and pick up the happy couple. So the new cage is a two floor number with easy access to the floor for trips out. I now need to remind oscar how to jump up onto the other level he's not a very adventerous bunny. The bunnies will be able to run about and spend time apart when they feeling more unsocialable.

The hall carpet is down and done, looks fab, really glad we got it layed, there's no way I would have got it looking so good with my stapler and stanley knife.

The Pooles are home, they missed the plane due to a lorry crash and told us they would be back a day late, then on Thurs morning (before they were expected anyway) they turned up on our door way, looking a little sleepy but happy to be home and sorted. Had a look at photos and a take a way on Friday :)

Back to work tomorrow, busy bees

I did on Friday night go adsa shopping :)
Saturday, Ian plasterboarded i helped, sat afternoon went hoar park farm with laine, theres a fantstic new bug shop.
Sat evening night and sun am, we had little old leah from across the street :)
sunday brunch, asda 6 of the best breakfast with Ellie and Megan, back home, little nap, then Pete put me a new joist in the ceiling, i assisted, cooked (microwaved) soup for ensia and Lorraine, quick nip over the road to say helloto the Pooles and now blogging and then to bed!
and i bought some very clear sellotape - i was amazed how clear it was!

up early to get the lawn mowed before work, was going well until the mower made a unhealthy sound and one of the blade disappeared.

I also put the new rabbit run together, rabbit will much like it

Off to work for a bit, not long, to meet a chap to talk about why we run some of the groups we do, all good

went to caribbean fesitval was okay but think it suffered from being moved to hersall common.

back home, rabbit got some quality outside time bless him, i chipped the plant i cut down the other day and have been waiting to dry out

I love my sleep! I consider a good sleep to be between 8 and 10 hours. In my opinion 7 hours in only just a bit more than a nap! So when Elaine and Leah got up at 6am after I had only gone to bed at midnight I did my best to ignore them. at 7.30am I was still trying to remain asleep, but when they came upstairs at 8am and said "what time are you getting up" I admitted defeat.

Good morning Sunday, I now need to find ways to entertain an eight year old :)
(I'm taking her to my mate Ellie's so that will keep her happy for a bit, then me mum and Baz are here so really I have deligated the task)

Oh and went to Pizza Hut last night, it was absolutely lovely!!!! I will be going again!!!!
