house and the like

errm bit of a delay, sorry.

The house is about finished and has been for weeks, we are just getting through the snagging list and Elaine and I have some painting to do :)

We are chuffed with it and this summer so far it has been perfect for sitting and enjoying the garden.

Elaine has a new car, one that goes a proper speed, only thing is we need to sell Eric, which thanks to a few unhelpful people is taking some time!

Today I went kite flying which is always a good, thing, earphones in, sun out but enough cloud so you can look into the sky and a good strong wind. Made me feel like I was in the middle of no where even though I was in the middle of Earlsdon!

Oh and me veg garden looks rather healthy.

and we nipped down to the Godiva festival to catch a bit of the 80's night, thanks Poole's!

Biked to asda and ate a carrot on my way home.
Went to see Lorraine :)
Went for Coffee (and a little snack) at Starbucks with Elaine

Friday
Went to Ryton Pools and got a bit lost on a bike ride, made it home safe though
Flew kite a bit (not much wind)
Invited Leah Poole over to stay (and stay she did til Sat evening)
Watched Elaine and Leah carve a pumpkim

Saturday
Met with the architech (oooo)
Went to the Dr Who exibition with Leah and Miss Elaine Nicholles
Went to tesco's for lunch (got wii fit plus - just need a wii now)
Met Richie and saw Ellie and Megs

Sunday
Went church
Had very pleasant lunch in town with Laine, very nice indeed!
Watched 3 episodes of Bones
Made roast chicken from like a whole raw chicken

Nice few days off :)

Grandma W

Well the 30th July was her funeral, it was very sad and very surreal. Lots of things to think about and move on with.

What was lovely was seeing just how much support there was for me and how much people were willing to make the day go as well as it could.

Onwards.........

open university has taken over my life

see when you start they just say you have to give some stuff up and be organised and 12 hours a week isn't much!

In a week there are 168 hours
I:
work (including getting there and back) 45
sleep 56
clean out pets 2
shop at asda 1
eat 10
shower 20 mins (max)
socialise 8
check important emails and facebook 10
make myself beautiful (and other hygenic necessities) 7

this equals 139hr and 20 mins
so why is it so hard to fit that 12 hours in, i have 28hr and 40 mins spare , what am i doing the rest of the time?
picking my nose? stairing at the clear blue sky? what!!!!???

soup

I made soup today, while assisting Ian in putting up a suspended ceiling. It was lovely :)
I went to Sainsburys and got some nice warm bread to go with it and it was lovely. I ate a bit too much bread though and it has now made me feel really rather full.
Now watching Casulaty, me thinks someone is about to die, all very sad if he does, why we watch this program I just don't know.
Not many days til santa visits I have some shopping to do :)

bit of a cough

I have a bit of a cough, it is winter and as of yet I haven't yet had a bad cold. I have had a few sniffles and a slightly poorly weekend but that all, this is all good :)
Have been christmas shopping got some presents, not all of them but getting there
Work is busy busy, should slow down a bit over santa season, i hope!
Laine is busy doing essays, she did an exam the other day 100 flipping % ha ha
I have just registered to do the first module of the social care degree with the open university, i am quite looking forward to it :)
Leah Plip has a birthday soon, she's 10 years old wow!!!!!!!!
The cats have all been in the house lately, i think it may be too cold to go out, they all have a chair or a stool or a bean bag to sit on, sometimes they argue and fight but then it settles.
The rabbits are running around all over the place, they have learnt how to get onto their cage and at their food they are somewhat rascalish at the moment but lovely at the same time.
Looking forward to santa time, nice long break, yay

new toys

We have new toys, a lappy toppy and a dictaphone :) these 2 things are making for quite and entertaining evening :)
We have made the computer talk, recorded it onto the dictaphone, played it back to the laptop and had the laptop read our what was recorded.
How ridiculous and we both need to get lives!! :)
I have to admit we have also been making the computer say rude words, I know pathetic, a 30 year old and a 36 year old being so childish, hanging my head in shame now.
This may provide entertainment for some time me thinks.
Other than that I am getting ready to battern down the hatches for the artic weather heading this way and shall probably spend a fair amount of time sat in the loft watching Bones - oh yeah

Back to work for a couple of days all good, training today and there was cooked dinner with pudding, I was allowed to have banana with me custard :)
Got Megs birthday party this weekend, 5 years old bless her!

Laine went through our pets tonight and diagnoses Archie, Bessie, Charlie and Moses with personality disorders, group therapy here we come!

Because it was the day I first began to juggle with the clubs the Burnetts gave me years ago for my birthday. How chuffed was I? Oooo must be 18 out of 10

Need more practice as I'm not consistantly safe but think i will get there.

Just a note to anyone who thinks about learning to juggle clubs wear a hard hat and shoulder pads, it can be painful!

rabbit revision

i have been reading about rabbits again, I go through phases of feeling the need to increase my knowledge of the little creatures so to improve their lives if possible. I have begun reading recently mainly due to the fact that Archie has been peeing all over the place quite a lot. I think i have figured this is probably due to him not long having been neutered and should stop within a few weeks, lets hope so.
Archie is lovely, Bessie is back to her old self after a bit of wobbliness, ear is back up and she eats enough hay for 8 rabbits at least
I have purchased a new run for then to extend the other one so when it isn't raining (ha ha ha ha ha) they have plenty of space to run about and we are thinking of getting them an outside house so they can stay out is it's nice when we are at work

Speaking of work, it's going well, never a dull moment in this job, I find chasing my on tail amuzing most fo the time :) Schools break up soon and when they do my diary calms down loads.

Me good self and the Laine went to Tarsus last night was lovely, really proper, I'm not a fan of eating out but will be back for the buffet evening again soon!
