house and the like

errm bit of a delay, sorry.
The house is about finished and has been for weeks, we are just getting through the snagging list and Elaine and I have some painting to do :)
We are chuffed with it and this summer so far it has been perfect for sitting and enjoying the garden.

Elaine has a new car, one that goes a proper speed, only thing is we need to sell Eric, which thanks to a few unhelpful people is taking some time!

Today I went kite flying which is always a good, thing, earphones in, sun out but enough cloud so you can look into the sky and a good strong wind. Made me feel like I was in the middle of no where even though I was in the middle of Earlsdon!

Oh and me veg garden looks rather healthy.

and we nipped down to the Godiva festival to catch a bit of the 80's night, thanks Poole's!

5.30 is a lovely time of day

Laine has been on placement for oh some weeks now, she has to get up t about 5.30am to make sure she is ready to go at 6.30am (she takes a little longer in the morning than I do but I'm not sure being able to get up at 7.50am and leave at 8am is anything to blog about!). I am kindly helping by getting up as well so she doesn't miss her bus (well Pete the taxi). I then hop back to bed for another hours sleep.
Anyways there have been some lovely mornings, no pictures I'm afraid far too sleepy to be thinking about grabbing a blumming camera

I am hoping the rabbits extension will arrive today, it makes there run bigger and then next month I want to get them a summerhouse so they can stay out in the day when the weather is nice enough. Bessie particularly likes it outside, Archie likes it anywhere that we are.

Ellie Sarah and Megan came for a picnic, t'was lovely! I bought a sun shelter for the rabbits which was way bigger than I expected so we sat in it instead and did a jigsaw (after Ellie had had a nap)

Anyways, soon time to go back to bed and then up and today I shall be going to warwick

rabbit revision

i have been reading about rabbits again, I go through phases of feeling the need to increase my knowledge of the little creatures so to improve their lives if possible. I have begun reading recently mainly due to the fact that Archie has been peeing all over the place quite a lot. I think i have figured this is probably due to him not long having been neutered and should stop within a few weeks, lets hope so.
Archie is lovely, Bessie is back to her old self after a bit of wobbliness, ear is back up and she eats enough hay for 8 rabbits at least
I have purchased a new run for then to extend the other one so when it isn't raining (ha ha ha ha ha) they have plenty of space to run about and we are thinking of getting them an outside house so they can stay out is it's nice when we are at work

Speaking of work, it's going well, never a dull moment in this job, I find chasing my on tail amuzing most fo the time :) Schools break up soon and when they do my diary calms down loads.

Me good self and the Laine went to Tarsus last night was lovely, really proper, I'm not a fan of eating out but will be back for the buffet evening again soon!

skip, 5.30 and rabbits

well laine has started her new placement, she has done 4 shift over the last week, all beginning at 7am in Warwick. This has meant that we have both seen too many 5.30ams over the last 7 day. I do feel in a slightly better position as i can go back to bed after and i don't have to do it for 7 week. It was a case off all alarm clocks in the house going off this week to make sure she was up

then theres bessie, i must ring in a minute. She has been with Jane at the rabbit rescue for what seems like weeks. We may have a potenital new friend, Colin, he's a bit older than our Bess but is the only bunny there that she hasn't hated :) We'll see

Yesterday Ian and I tootled over to Melton to help me mum and Baz clean out my grandads garage. He had a lot of years to collect stuff and my he had done well. Baz isn't for throwing stuff out and I think he must have saved 15 hammers "just in case"

Today I'm pottering, in me garden, sorting caravan and maybe going to see Bess

oh and Dr Who was fantastic!!!

tent

Last night we picked Leah up from brownies. I began to have a thought about tenting.
We got home and the thought kept going round in my head and then it just jumped out my mouth, "leah you wanna sleep in the garden in the tent tonight?" Leah said yes, so that was it we put t'tent up, got the air bed, got it all comfy, watched Dr Who and then slept in the tent.
It was lvoely, only small issues were cats either trying to get in or getting in and then having to be thrown out and it rained loads was nice to hear it on the canvas but was a bit loud at times.

Thats it now, in nice weather on our plip weekends I think we may be camping :)

busy few weeks

It's been a bit busy of of, laine has finished her exams and essay and now has 4 weeks off, Cousin Linda from Canada is here and staying over the road, we went to Hatton and Stratford yesterday, was lovely.
My garden is most definitely getting there
and it's bank holiday - I love May with it's not one but two bank hols :)
oooo
and most importantly it was Enisa's 18th on Friday, we had a big party for her with balloons, ribbon, banners, cakes, potatoes, dips, cakes, presents, music, people, cakes and alcohol!

HAPPY 18TH MISS ENISA!!!!!!

Monday, 12 May 2008

today is monday 12th May 2008

I got up went to work, did some work, came home :)

All good.

This weekend was lovely, Sat I spent a fiar chunk of time in the car in a queue at the tip with Ian, sunny days always brings out everyone and his brother to the tip to get rid of all the bits of crap that have been hanging around.
Sunday I spent most of the day under me favourite tree in the garden, was a fab day and a real chill.

Laine thou bless her was having to write her essay and is now revising. It's not fair on her really cos she works so hard and is a bit of a perfectionist and it means that it eats up her whole life until it's finshed. She is a clear one thou and it shows when you read what she's written.

Grass ain't looking too bad at all! Glad the rubble's gone :) good old rubble collecting men!

Anyways back to Dr Who I go now :)

new job grass and a hole in a wall - bike

The new job is going well, I have a desk a car park passa phone and a puter. I've really enjoed it so far which is nice!

The turf arrived Friday evening, by the time I made it home it was all in the back garden, Ian, bless him has spent close to 2 hours carrying it round for me, the kind man left a few extra rolls, funny kind for me, cruel for Ian.
Turf was all layed by 9.30am Sat

Then Sat Ian and I knocked a hole in his wall for a lintel, then realised the bricks were looking far too shakey and ran a builder. Builder said we had done it right and that there was hardly anything to do. Builder doing it though tomorrow night, I must admit holes in load bearing walls are a bit scary :)

Laine is busy doing her essay, I'm sure she'll catch up on some sleep at some point.

And

LEAH RODE HER BIKE WIV NO SUPPORT AT ALL NOT A BIT NO ONE, YAY LEAH

and..

Ellie had a birthday, "happy birthday Ellie"
